Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced the XEV 9e, a premium all-electric SUV coupe, marking a significant advancement in India’s electric vehicle market.
Mahindra XEV 9e Design and Features
The XEV 9e boasts a sleek and modern design, characterized by: A coupe-like silhouette with connected LED tail-lights and an illuminated ‘infinity Mahindra’ logo, enhancing its futuristic appeal. A spacious 5-seater layout featuring a unique three-screen setup, each measuring 12.3 inches, running on Mahindra’s Adrenox software. Premium materials and a panoramic glass roof contribute to a luxurious cabin experience.
Mahindra XEV 9e Performance and Battery Options
The XEV 9e is built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and offers two battery configurations: Delivers a range of up to 542 km and powers a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) motor producing 228 bhp. Extends the range to approximately 656 km, with the motor output increased to 282 bhp. Both variants support fast charging, with the capability to charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.
Mahindra XEV 9e Safety and Technology
Safety is a priority in the XEV 9e, which includes: Level 2 features such as lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. Up to seven airbags, ensuring comprehensive occupant protection.Monitors driver attentiveness and provides alerts to enhance safety.
Mahindra XEV 9e Pricing and Availability
The Mahindra XEV 9e is available at an introductory price of ₹21.90 lakh for the base variant. Deliveries are expected to commence between February and March 2025.
