Mahindra XEV 9e and BE6 have made history, as these cars have been tested to be the safest for both adult and child occupants during a series of severe crash tests carried out by Bharat New Car Assessment Program, or Bharat-NCAP. This sets Mahindra as a forerunner in electric vehicle safety, while setting the new benchmark for the Indian automobile industry.

Superior Safety Performance

Both XEV 9e and BE6 came out as brilliant and safe performers with Bharat-NCAP ratings. XEV 9e is a perfect safety performer as it scored a maximum of 32 points on the adult occupant safety rating scale, an amazing feat which really speaks about its robust design along with the features of advanced safety within it. BE6 followed very close by at 31.97 out of 32, further speaking for Mahindra’s focus in making the car that places priority on occupant safety.

The two also emerged very exceptional in the safety aspect especially in child occupants with a score of 45 out of a maximum of 49. This is evidence that Mahindra cares for every passenger, and indeed, every passenger gets safety-driven electric cars from the company. Such impressive results showcase the commitment to safety ingrained into designing Mahindra electric vehicles.

A Reflection of Mahindra’s Resilience in Safety

This achievement does not simply point to a figure; it’s also a testimony that Mahindra is a constant adherent of safety in automobile design and production. The Bharat-NCAP has made significant contributions by assessing vehicle safety, with their evaluation on how the occupant might suffer upon collision. 5 stars of Bharat-NCAP point to the safety of a car, and accolades given by the agency further boost up the reputation of the brand because of producing secure and dependable cars.

A Consistent Track Record of Safety Excellence

Not for the first time, Mahindra cars have emerged with good results in crash tests. Mahindra consistently develops models with a focus on safety. Recent models such as the Thar Rocks, XUV 3XO, and SUV400 have obtained a 5-star rating from India-NCAP tests. Global NCAP also rewarded the SUV700 and Scorpio-N with a similar rating. This establishes Mahindra at the top in safety in automobiles.

A Word from Leadership

R Velusamy, President of the Automotive Technology & Product Development Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Joint Managing Director of Mahindra Electric Automobiles, was proud to have achieved this milestone. According to him, the BE6 and XEV 9e represent Mahindra’s strong commitment to safety and innovation.

Future End

Mahindra accomplishment in getting both XEV 9e and BE6 5-star safety ratings will be a key milestone for India’s electric vehicle market. This is proof that safety is no longer a low priority but instead the most important one in the manufacture of electric vehicles. As the electric vehicle market for India grows, Mahindra’s interest in safety is sure to remain at the helm of building customer confidence and promoting electric vehicles in India.
