Hyundai is trying to take up an important place among the leading names in the Indian automotive market by shaping the future of urban mobility. The electric Creta was unveiled at Auto Expo 2025, but it was at India Mobility Global Expo 2025 that Hyundai showcased its innovative spirit by revealing two truly ground-breaking commercial vehicle concepts developed in partnership with TVS Motor Company. These concepts, an electric three-wheeler (E3W) and a four-wheeler (E4W), promise to revolutionize last-mile delivery and passenger transport in India.

A Focus on Sustainability and Versatility

Both concepts reflect Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability and its profound understanding of Indian consumer needs. The E3W, intended for various applications, is designed as an eco-friendly and efficient solution for multiple urban transportation challenges. Its compact size and maneuverability make it suitable for congested city streets, while its versatile design allows for a range of configurations, including passenger transport and goods delivery.

E3W Innovation for Inclusive Mobility

The E3W concept takes into consideration the needs of all passengers. It has a single driver’s seat and a rear bench that can carry two passengers. Interestingly, the rear bench can fold down to create space for a wheelchair, which shows Hyundai’s commitment to inclusive mobility. The E3W’s range of 168 kilometers on 80% battery charge further makes it practical for daily operations.

E4W A Peek into the Future of Urban Logistics

While conceived on a similar design philosophy as the E3W, the E4W comes with its difference : No handlebars, but a steering wheel This improvement would bring comfort and control to drivers on longer runs. Both concepts sport an LED screen with “Namaste” emblazoned on it. That’s a subtle nod to the Indian culture and a respect by Hyundai for it. The interiors of both the vehicles have been modernized, containing an advanced information display and a useful mobile holder that helps maintain an amicable connection during a trip.

A Partnership for Progress

Hyundai and TVS collaboration is a huge step for India in sustainable transportation. Sharad Mishra, Group Strategy President of TVS Motor Company, was proud to be partnering with Hyundai to help shape the future of urban mobility. SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President of Hyundai Motor and Head of Hyundai and Genesis Global Design, reiterates that Hyundai is customer-centric and will continue to strive to enhance people’s lives in India.

Looking Ahead

These are concepts for now, but give a glimpse of the exciting electric commercial vehicle future in India. The innovative designs, coupled with the expertise of both Hyundai and TVS, hold immense potential to transform urban transportation, making it more efficient, sustainable, and inclusive for all.
