In an effort to discourage minor driving, the government has provided very severe penalties. If a minor is found to be driving a vehicle, the penalty levied would be Rs 25,000. The parents of the minor shall also be penalized and even the registration certificate of the vehicle can be canceled. These measures clearly show that the government is really concerned with road safety and accidents due to minors.
