On December 19th, banks in Panaji, Goa, will remain shut as it is Goa Liberation Day. This is a landmark day as Goa was freed from the Portuguese in 1961. The RBI issues an entire calendar of bank holidays all over the country and the public gets to know very clearly when the banks would remain closed throughout the year.
