Munjya: Smita Shrivastava, Mumbai Along with horror films, these two comedies are also in vogue so that along with the fear, there is a light hearted laughter and a pleasant atmosphere. Producer Dinesh Vijan is preparing to create a universe of his horror comedy films on the lines of Hollywood.
Munjya is the fourth film in this series after Stree Roi Bhedia. This time he has based it on the folk tale of Konkan region of Maharashtra. Although the film neither scares much nor makes you laugh, but this movie is considered very fantastic and great.
Munjya story: Munjya enters in search of Munni
Bittu Abhay Verma, who lives in Pune, is of a timid nature. He lives with his mother Pammi Mona Singh, who runs a beauty parlor, and grandmother Subhash Joshi. He wants to go abroad to study. But his mother wants him to take care of her business. Then Bittu goes to the village with his mother and grandmother for the engagement of his uncle’s daughter.
There is an argument between his grandmother and uncle about selling the village land. Chintu Kumari believes that this place is cursed. If a Brahmin boy dies within 10 days of his tonsure, he becomes Brahmarakshas i.e. Munja.
I have seen only my blood relatives. During this time, Bittu comes to know about his father’s death. He reaches Chetanwadi, where Munja’s bonds are opened. Grandmother goes to save him, Munja kills her. Saddened by his grandmother’s death, Bittu returns to his home with his mother, then he comes to know that Munja is with him.
