The anticipation for GTA 6 has taken the gaming world by storm. With every leak and revelation, fans are growing more eager to finally step into the next chapter of Rockstar’s legendary franchise. However, amidst all the excitement, an older interview with Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has surfaced, hinting at a potential delay that could leave PC players heartbroken.

Will GTA 6 Skip PC on Launch

According to an interview conducted by IGN, Rockstar is expected to release GTA 6 in 2025, but only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, completely leaving out the PC version at launch. This revelation comes as a shock, but for those familiar with Rockstar’s history, it is not entirely unexpected.

Rockstar has always had a pattern of launching Grand Theft Auto games on consoles first, with the PC version arriving much later. The same happened with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which had delayed PC releases. This time, things don’t seem to be any different, and PC gamers might have to wait until 2026 or beyond to experience GTA 6.

Why Is Rockstar Delaying the PC Version

The reason behind this decision is quite strategic. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, believes that the initial console launch will drive higher sales for PlayStation and Xbox, as eager players who don’t want to wait will purchase a console just to play the game. In the interview, Zelnick acknowledged that PC is an important platform for Rockstar, but historically, their biggest releases have always prioritized consoles first.

While this decision might frustrate PC players, it also follows a long-established trend in the gaming industry, where console exclusivity (even if temporary) helps boost hardware sales before a game reaches a wider audience.

Leaked Playable Locations in GTA 6

While the delay for PC players is disappointing, the excitement for GTA 6’s world and map size continues to build. Leaks suggest that Port Vice City, a modern reimagining of Port Miami, will be featured in the game. The trailer gave us a glimpse of a speedboat chase in the waters near the port, confirming that Vice City’s waterfront will play a significant role in the game’s setting.

Additionally, Vice City International Airport is also expected to return, offering players the chance to steal planes, engage in high-speed chases, and complete daring missions. Airports have always been a core element in GTA games, and with GTA 6 featuring the largest map in the franchise’s history, it’s almost certain that a massive airport will be included.

What Should PC Players Do
