Barroz’s OTT release date revealed
This popular film of Mohanlal was released in theatres on 25 December 2024. Although the film received mixed response at the box office, its visuals and story caught the attention of the people. Now the film is set to release on the digital platform. The makers of the film have informed on their social media handle that “Barroz Guardian of Treasures” will stream on Disney + Hotstar from January 22, 2025. The special thing is that apart from Malayalam, it can also be seen in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.
How was the performance at the box office?
The film did not get the expected success at the box office. According to reports, the film earned around Rs 9.83 crore in India, while its total collection worldwide was Rs 15.1 crore. Despite this, the story of the film and Mohanlal’s direction are commendable.
What is special in the story of Barroz?
The story of the film is based on Jijo Punos’ book “Barroz Guardian of D’Gama Treasure”. Mohanlal is not only the director of this film, but he has also played the lead role in it. The story revolves around Barroz, the mysterious guardian of the 400-year-old treasure, who is ready to hand over the treasure to the real descendant of Vasco da Gama.
The film also stars Maya, Cesar Lorente Ratton, Kaliroi Tziafeta, Tuhin Menon and Guru Somasundaram in brilliant performances. Apart from this, the background score of the film has been composed by Mark Kilian and the cinematography has been done by Santosh Sivan.
