The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all IPL teams, except Punjab Kings, to reach their respective venues by Tuesday. The board has informed the franchises verbally that they are planning to prepare a new schedule and resume the IPL soon.
The BCCI has also asked the franchises to inform their foreign players about their travel plans. Soon after the IPL was postponed on Friday, most foreign players and support staff returned to their homes the same evening. Now, the franchises are making arrangements to bring them back.
The reason BCCI wants teams to report by Tuesday is that they aim to finish the IPL by the scheduled date — May 25. With 12 matches remaining, the board is planning to resume the league with double-headers.
