PM Awas Yojana provides financial help to poor and needy people to build houses. Under this scheme, financial support is given to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and people living below the poverty line. However, there is an income limit to get the benefit. The government gives assistance based on this income limit.
According to the official website of PM Awas Yojana, homes for 92.61 lakh people have already been completed. The scheme helps people in both rural and urban areas. To get the benefit, it is important that you do not already own a pucca (permanent) house.
The last date to apply under both the rural and urban parts of the scheme has been extended till December 2025. If you have recently applied for the scheme and want to know whether your name is on the list or not, you can check it easily. Let’s look at the steps to check it.
