Toyota Corolla Cross can win your heart if you’re searching for an SUV that is athletic, fashionable, and environmentally conscious all at once. In addition to winning people over with its fresh appearance, this SUV is a treat for fans of fast cars thanks to the introduction of the new GR Sport model.
Newness in exterior design that catches every eye

The new 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross with the facelift is more stylish and contemporary than before. It has a powerful road presence thanks to the new LED headlights’ gorgeous DRL signature and updated front grille. At night, the Toyota emblem is even more beautiful because it now rests atop an illuminated strip that connects the headlights.
Its sporty appearance is further enhanced by the addition of new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, while the side profile stays the same. The GR Sport version, on the other hand, is completely different; it has aggressive bumpers, a sharp snout, and 19-inch all-black alloy wheels. Its dual-tone paint job of Storm Grey and Black is stunning.
Experience of luxury from inside too
The 2019 Toyota Corolla Cross’s interior features careful yet understated upgrades. The main modification is the center console, which now features improved cup holders, a sliding storage box, and a new smartphone storage section. It feels more high-end thanks to the new AC controls and gear knob.
The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the sizable 10.5-inch infotainment screen are still there. This car is even more luxurious with features like ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, heated steering, a heated seat, and Level 2 ADAS technology.
The same powerful hybrid engine, now with more smart features
With this facelift, Toyota hasn’t made any mechanical adjustments. It has two hybrid powertrain options: a 2.0-liter gasoline-electric engine with 197 horsepower and a 1.8-liter engine with 140 horsepower. Additionally, the 2.0-liter model now offers all-wheel drive (AWD), including a new Snow Mode.
According to Toyota, the AWD version of this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in under 7.5 seconds. In addition, the GR Sport variant’s height has been lowered by 10mm, and the Sport Mode has been made more aggressive, which doubles the enjoyment of driving.
India launch hopes dashed

The revelation that Toyota has delayed the Toyota Corolla Cross’s Indian debut would disappoint a lot of Indian auto enthusiasts. It was originally intended to be introduced from the Karnataka plant in 2026 under the name “Toyota C SUV,” but it was not commercially feasible as the goal volume of 75,000 units was not met. It is based on the TNGA-C platform, just like the Innova Hycross; however, it is not yet available in India.
