Once the king of the Indian two-wheeler market, Hero reported 3,05,406 units in April 2025, a shocking 43% drop from the 5,33,585 units in April 2024. Month-on-month figures also saw a heavy decline of 44%.
Domestic sales weren’t spared either, with 2,88,524 units sold compared to 5,13,296 units last year, marking a 44% YoY decline. The company explained that this setback was due to planned downtime at four manufacturing plants for scheduled maintenance and production realignment.
