Hania Aamir Clears the Air After Fake Post Goes Viral
The ‘Kavi Main Kavi Tum’ star, Hania Aamir, recently addressed the controversy surrounding a viral fake social media post. The post falsely claimed to be from her and blamed the Pakistani army for the Pahalgaon terror attack on April 22.
Hania Aamir Breaks Silence
On her official Instagram story, Hania Aamir wrote, “Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and widely circulated on social media. I want to be clear: I did not make any such statement. I do not support or promote these words that have been wrongly attributed to me. This is all a fabrication.”
She continued, “This is a very sensitive and emotional time. My heart aches for the innocent lives lost and the families affected by these tragic events. We must approach this pain with compassion, not politicise it.”
Hania emphasised, “Emotions can cloud our judgment, but we must remember that the actions of extremists or terrorists do not represent an entire country or its citizens. Blaming without evidence only deepens division and distracts from the real need for compassion, justice, and healing.”
Appeal for Compassion and Verification
Hania urged her followers to verify information before reacting. She concluded her message with, “To my dear followers, your love means everything to me. I urge everyone to verify facts before sharing anything. In these difficult times, let’s choose kindness, transparency, and unity. Let’s honour those affected and spread positivity. My sincere condolences and hope for peace.”
What the Fake Post Said
The viral fake post read, “Due to General Asim Munir’s actions in Kashmir, the Pakistani entertainment industry has been banned in India, and even social media accounts have been restricted. I respectfully request the Prime Minister of India to understand that ordinary Pakistanis have done nothing wrong to India. The Pakistani army and Islamist militants are behind the Pahalgaon terror attack. Why punish innocent citizens? Please take action against the army and militants, not ordinary Pakistanis.” However, it was later verified that this post came from a fake profile.
