Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Maruti Suzuki is set to introduce its first electric SUV, the e Vitara, in India. This vehicle marks the company’s entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market, offering a blend of modern design, advanced features, and eco-friendly technology.

The e Vitara showcases a contemporary and robust design, featuring: Measuring 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height, it is comparable in size to the current Hyundai Creta. An upright nose with a clamshell bonnet design, sleek V-shaped LED headlamps, and a prominent Suzuki logo. Flush door handles and pronounced wheel arches enhance its SUV appeal. Connected LED taillamps and a distinctive e Vitara badge.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Interior and Technology
Inside, the e Vitara is expected to offer: Integrated infotainment and digital driver’s display. Automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including collision avoidance and traffic sign recognition, making it the first Maruti vehicle to offer such features.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Engine and Performance
The e Vitara will be available with two battery options: 49 kWh Battery Powers a front-wheel-drive motor producing 144 PS and 189 Nm of torque. 61 kWh Battery Offers both 2WD and AWD configurations. The 2WD variant delivers 174 PS and 189 Nm, while the AWD variant provides a combined output of 184 PS and 300 Nm. The larger battery variant aims for a range exceeding 550 km on the Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC).
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara Launch Date and Pricing
The e Vitara is scheduled to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025, with an expected market launch by March 2025. Pricing is anticipated to start around ₹20 lakh for the base model with the 49 kWh battery, reaching up to ₹30 lakh for higher variants.
