India’s largest automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has marked the launch of its first electric vehicle, e-Vitara which is first in the company’s history. The much-awaited electric SUV was displayed at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 and will be fully rolled out in the market by March. In the rapidly growing Indian electric vehicle market, the e-Vitara will be put to several tests by other electric versions like Hyundai Creta Electric, MG Windsor EV, Tata Nexon EV, and Tata Curve EV. The exterior design of e-Vitara looks strikingly and possesses some outstanding elements. Y-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) dominate the front, while the rear has connected LED taillights with a stylish three-piece design. The front bumper is strong and integrates with built-in fog lights.
Inside, the cabin promises a premium experience. Powertrain and Performance
Electrifying Options The Maruti e-Vitara will be available with two versions of the battery pack. The capacity will be 49 kWh as well as a larger 61 kWh variant. The model with 49 kWh will go with front-wheel drive. With the 61 kWh model, front-wheel drive will be accompanied by all-wheel-drive capacity for better versatility and capability off-road.
