Hello Friends The excitement surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has taken the gaming world by storm, but there’s one big question that remains unanswered when will PC gamers get their hands on the game? Recent comments from a Corsair Gaming executive set the internet ablaze with speculation about an early 2026 PC release, but it turns out that information might not be entirely accurate.

Corsair Statement Was It a Leak or Just Speculation

During a financial call, Corsair Gaming’s VP of Finance, Ronald van Veen, mentioned that GTA 6 would launch in Fall 2025 for consoles and then in early 2026 for PC. This statement quickly led to headlines suggesting Corsair had inside knowledge of Rockstar’s plans. However, the company later clarified that Van Veen’s comments were purely speculative and not based on any official information from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive.

Take Two Stance on a PC Release

Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has officially committed to launching GTA 6 in Fall 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but there has been no confirmation about a PC release date. While this delay follows Rockstar’s usual pattern, many fans believe it feels outdated in 2025, considering how crucial the PC gaming market has become.

IGN recently questioned Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick about the absence of a PC release announcement, and while he didn’t provide a direct answer, he hinted that Rockstar has historically released games on PC after launching on consoles first. He pointed to Civilization 7, which was released on all platforms simultaneously, but acknowledged that not all games follow the same model.

Why Is Rockstar Holding Back the PC Release

Historically, Rockstar Games has always prioritized consoles first before eventually bringing its titles to PC. Previous games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 took years to arrive on PC. The reasons for this delay could be related to technical optimization, business strategy, or even Rockstar’s complex relationship with the PC modding community. Still, some gamers had hoped that GTA 6 would break this trend. Given the sheer scale and anticipation surrounding the game, many believe launching the PC version later is a missed opportunity for Rockstar.

When Can PC Gamers Expect GTA 6

At this point, all signs indicate that GTA 6 won’t arrive on PC until at least 2026. While this is frustrating news for PC players, history suggests that Rockstar will eventually release a well-optimized and enhanced version for PC, just like they did with previous titles. In December 2023, a former Rockstar developer attempted to defend this staggered release, urging PC gamers to be patient and trust the studio’s process. But given the increasing influence of PC gaming, many still feel Rockstar should reconsider its strategy. For now, PC gamers will have to wait as console players get first access to one of the most anticipated games ever. While the delay may be frustrating, one thing is certain when GTA 6 finally arrives on PC, it’s bound to be an unforgettable experience.
