TS TET organised by Telangana School Education Department is starting tomorrow 2 January 2025. This exam will run till 20 January 2025. Who can take TS TET exam?
To appear in TS TET exam, candidates have to fulfill qualifications like DElEd, DEd, BEd or Bhasha Pandit. If you are in the final year of these courses and you have the required marks, then you can also appear in this exam.
What is the difference between Paper 1 and Paper 2
TS TET exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for those candidates who are willing to teach children from class 1 to 5. At the same time, Paper 2 is for those candidates who want to apply for the posts of teachers from class 6 to 8.
Exam time and shift
This exam will be conducted in two shifts daily. The first shift will be from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second shift will be from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
Subject wise exam schedule
The detailed schedule of TS TET is as follows. On January 2, there will be a Social Studies exam in the first and second shifts. On January 5, there will be a paper of Mathematics and Science along with Social Studies. On January 8, 9 and 10, there will be only Paper 1 exam. On January 11, there will be a paper of Social Studies along with Mathematics and Science. On January 12, there will be a Social Studies exam again.
Papers of various subjects will be conducted on January 18, 19 and 20, with special mention of Mathematics and Science.
How many marks are required to pass the exam?
Friends, the minimum marks to pass the exam have been fixed on the basis of category. General category candidates must score 60% or more marks. For BC category this limit is 50%, while for SC, ST and Divyang candidates 40% marks will be considered as passing marks.
Importance of TS TET Certificate
TS TET certificate provides eligibility to apply for teacher posts in state government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, private aided and unaided schools. This certificate is valid for a lifetime and 20% weightage is also given to your TET score in the recruitment process.
