The hero returns, but the story fails
The story of this film revolves around Rehan Roy, who is a famous thief and is living in the streets of Istanbul, hiding his identity. But when his younger brother comes to him and tells him that their father’s old clinic has been looted with black money, Rehan is forced to agree to one last theft. He has to steal a priceless diamond, “Red Sun”, which is owned by an African prince. There is a twist in the story, there is drama, but unfortunately, none of these aspects can engage the audience.
Where did the film go wrong
Jewel Thief was expected to be an exciting and fast-paced heist thriller, but the film turned out to be very ordinary. There is neither depth in the story nor any shocking twist. In the name of planning and action, the old script has been repeated in the film. Rihan’s character just runs on the screen without any emotional attachment. Nikita Dutta’s beauty shines in the film, but her character makes no solid contribution. Even the villain of a brilliant actor like Jaideep Ahlawat failed to create fear.
The technical team of the film was also unable to elevate the story. The direction is lifeless, the background score is average and the cinematography also does not leave much impact. The dialogues are also very ordinary, which fail to engage the audience.

If you are a fan of heist thrillers and are expecting to see something new and powerful, then Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins may disappoint you. Saif Ali Khan’s acting is fine, but it is difficult to watch the entire film based on that alone.
