Hyderabad Fire Tragedy: A sudden inferno engulfed a building at Gulzar House close to the historic Charminar in Hyderabad. It has left the whole city shocked. The fire disaster has taken the lives of 17 persons till now, including 8 children, and over 30 individuals have been injured. Most of the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals, and some are still critical. The toll of casualties may increase further as rescue efforts continue.
Hyderabad Deadly Fire
The fire is thought to have broken out due to a short circuit, but the officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire. The fire department responded quickly and was able to contain the fire. A rescue mission rescued 15 individuals trapped in the fire. Locals also put their lives at risk to rescue those who were hit by the fire. Administrative officials and emergency response teams are stationed at the scene.
PM Modi expressed grief over the incident
PM Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the massive fire accident in Hyderabad. He tweeted on Twitter that he was ‘deeply saddened by the death of people in the fire incident in Hyderabad. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Relief assistance of Rs 2 lakh each will be given to the families of those who lost their lives from the PM Relief Fund. The government will help the injured with Rs 50,000 each.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mourned the unfortunate incident. In a tweet, he stated that he was pained by the loss of human life. He condoled the families of the deceased and declared financial assistance. ₹2 lakh as compensation will be provided to the deceased families from the PM Relief Fund. ₹50,000 each will be provided to those who are injured.
CM also expressed grief.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also condoled the accident and instructed officials to arrange immediate medical assistance for the injured. Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and AIMIM MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan visited the spot and inspected the area closely.
