Recently, Gambhir visited the Siddhivinayak Temple with his wife Natasha to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. Now, another video of Gambhir has surfaced, showing him at the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, along with his entire family. The video is going viral on social media.
Gautam Gambhir’s Tirupati Temple Visit
Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir visited the Sri Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, with his family. Dressed in a simple white kurta, he held his elder daughter Aazeen’s hand while his younger daughter Anaiza and his wife Natasha Jain walked by his side.
Prayer for Team India
Ahead of the five-match Test series against England, starting June 20, Gambhir offered prayers for India’s success. This visit follows his recent trip to Siddhivinayak Temple with Natasha, where they sought Ganpati’s blessings.
Series Without Rohit and Kohli
This England tour will be India’s first Test series without veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who both retired from the longest format earlier this year. Their absence makes the upcoming matches especially significant.
Searching for a New Captain
With Gambhir at the helm as coach, the next big decision is naming India’s Test skipper. Young talents Shubman Gill and Jasprit Bumrah are currently frontrunners. The BCCI is expected to announce the full squad and captaincy choice soon.
Earlier, before the T20I series against Bangladesh in October 2024, Gambhir visited the famous Maa Pitambara Temple in Datia. His visit fell on the second day of Shardiya Navratri, a festival celebrating Goddess Durga. Dressed in traditional clothes, the former cricketer offered prayers at the temple and asked the deity for success and good fortune in the upcoming series. Temple officials welcomed him warmly and honoured him on this special day.
