Bank Holidays : In India, from May 18th to June 10th, there will be several bank holidays that may affect banking services. During this period, several banks will be closed, especially on weekends (second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays) along with some major holidays. It is advised to complete your banking tasks, such as updating your checkbook and passbook, before these dates. However, online banking services such as net banking, mobile banking, and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) will remain operational throughout this period.

  • May 18th, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday.
  • May 24th, 2025 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday (Bank Closed).
  • May 25th, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday.
  • May 26th, 2025 (Monday): Kabir Kazi Nazrul Islam Jayanti (Holiday in Tripura).
  • June 1st, 2025 (Sunday): Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).
  • June 7th, 2025 (Sunday): Weekly Holiday.
  • June 8th, 2025 (Sunday): Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).
  • June 10th, 2025 (Wednesday): Guru Arjun Dev Martyrdom Day.

Online Banking Services:

When the banks are closed, customers can still use online banking services. These digital platforms remain active and provide no interruption in services.

  1. Net Banking: You can use your bank’s website or mobile app for money transfers, bill payments, and checking balances.
  2. UPI (Unified Payments Interface): This is a secure way to transfer money. All you need is a UPI app (like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.).
  3. Mobile Banking: You can use your smartphone’s bank app to carry out services such as fund transfers, mobile recharges, utility bill payments, etc.
  4. ATM Services: ATMs remain functional even during bank holidays. You can withdraw cash, check your balance, and get mini-statements. Cardless cash withdrawal facilities are also available at ATMs.
