Jyoti Malhotra, a renowned travel YouTuber from Haryana, has been arrested on serious charges. She stands accused of sharing sensitive Indian military information with Pakistan. The arrest has sparked national alarm as she is said to have utilized her YouTube presence and foreign travels to support foreign intelligence agencies.
Allegations of Spying and Contact with Pakistan
It is alleged that Jyoti Malhotra shared Indian security information with Pakistan, according to intelligence sources. Her YouTube channel, Travel with Joe, was utilized as a cover for travel vlogs, while secretly, it is claimed that she communicated on a regular basis with Pakistan’s intelligence agency agents.
The issue first surfaced when she traveled to Pakistan in 2023, allegedly for her channel shoot. She also visited the Pakistan High Commission and met with top officials while she was there. Among them was one meeting that brought her into contact with Ahsan ur Rahim alias Danish, who would be the primary middleman between Jyoti and Pakistani agents.
Communication Through Encrypted Platforms
Jyoti maintained contact with such foreign agents even after she came back to India. She employed such encrypted messaging platforms as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Snapchat to remain in contact. According to reports, not only was she propagating a positive image of Pakistan on social media, but she also shared confidential information several times. These messages allegedly contained sensitive information about India’s security systems and strategies. The pattern of frequent interaction raised red flags, eventually leading Indian intelligence agencies to monitor her closely.
Investigations and Arrest
Jyoti’s actions were closely watched after suspicions were raised. Her travel records, online activities, and connections were thoroughly examined. Authorities found enough evidence of her engagement with foreign agents and sharing of classified data. On the basis of the gathered evidence, she was arrested. Up till now, six people including Jyoti have been arrested by Haryana Police in this regard. The investigations are underway to ascertain if her actions were for money, pressure, or some other reasons.

The arrest has led the way to a wider investigation. Jyoti is being questioned to determine the extent of this so-called spy ring. Authorities are attempting to find out who else was involved and how far down the connections go. Her online communications and contacts are being scrutinized intensely.
