Based on the Kargil War
Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is the sequel to the 1997 hit film Border. The new film is said to be based on the Kargil War of 1999 between India and Pakistan. At that time, Pakistani soldiers crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and captured parts of Indian territory, mostly in the Kargil region. India responded with a strong military and diplomatic operation to drive them out.
