The Jio Hotstar team issued an official statement saying, “We want to clarify that the news published in some regional reports about a cyber attack on JioStar’s IT system is completely false and baseless. We assure all our users, partners, and stakeholders that our main servers are completely safe and have not been affected in any way.”
User Trust and Streaming Services Are Safe
The statement also added, “All user data and streaming services are fully secure. There has been no problem with the working of our platform. All sports and entertainment streaming on JioStar is running as normal. Protecting user trust is our top priority. We are committed to the highest standards of cyber security and will keep monitoring our systems to stop any future threats.”
No Effect of Hacking Reports on IPL Streaming
Recently, some reports claimed that Pakistani hackers had hacked Jio Hotstar’s mail server. This raised questions about the streaming of IPL 2025. However, the official statement has cleared all doubts and confirmed that everything is working fine.
