Tharoor to US, Shinde to UAE: Full List of MPs Leading India Global Outreach Under Operation Sindoor

India has begun a major diplomatic drive titled Operation Sindoor in the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror strike. Under this mission, political leaders from across the party divide are traveling to strategic international allies. Seven missions, led by senior MPs from the ruling and opposition parties, are currently mandated to brief world counterparts on India’s position against terrorism and the larger scenario behind the Pahalgam attack.

Shashi Tharoor’s Team to the Americas

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will head a nine-member delegation to the US, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia. The delegation is comprised of political leaders from different parties—Shambhavi (LJP), Sarfaraz Ahmad (JMM), GM Harish Balayogi (TDP), Shashank Mani Tripathi and Bhubaneswar Kalita (BJP), Milind Murli Deora (Shiv Sena), and Tejasvi Surya (BJP), with diplomats Taranjit Singh Sandhu among them.

Supriya Sule Heads Delegation to Africa and Middle East

NCP leader Supriya Sule will visit Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Her eight-member delegation consists of Rajiv Pratap Rudy (BJP), Vikramjeet Singh Sahney (AAP), Manish Tewari (Congress), Anurag Thakur (BJP), Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu (TDP), and diplomats Anand Sharma, V Muraleedharan, and Syed Akbaruddin. This visit will promote a harmonious global perception of India’s counter-terrorism position.

Baijayant Panda Leads Gulf Outreach

BJP MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda has been allotted Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. His team consists of Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and Rekha Sharma (all BJP), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Harsh Shringla. This visit highlights India’s strategic interest in Gulf alliances.

Europe Mission Led by Ravi Shankar Prasad

Ravi Shankar Prasad is leading a group to the UK, France, Germany, the EU, Italy, and Denmark. BJP members Daggubati Purandeswari, Samik Bhattacharya, and Ghulam Ali Khatana accompany him, as well as Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena), Amar Singh (Congress), MJ Akbar, and Pankaj Saran. The delegation will meet European leaders and institutions to strengthen bilateral cooperation and India’s determination against terror.

Sanjay Jha Leads Delegation to East and Southeast Asia

JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha will head the outreach to Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore. His delegation includes Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lala, and Hemang Joshi (BJP), Yusuf Pathan (TMC), John Brittas (CPIM), Pradan Baruah (BJP), former minister Salman Khurshid, and diplomat Mohan Kumar.

Shrikant Shinde’s Africa and UAE Tour

Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde will lead the mission to UAE, Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone. Delegates include Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, and Manan Kumar Mishra (BJP), ET Mohammed Basheer (IUML), Sasmit Patra (BJD), SS Ahluwalia, and Sujan Chinoy. The focus will be strengthening ties and counterterrorism collaboration.

Kanimozhi Karunanidhi’s Visit to Russia and Europe

DMK leader Kanimozhi will head the delegation to Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. They are joined by Rajeev Rai (SP), Mian Altaf Ahmad (NC), Brijesh Chowta (BJP), Prem Chand Gupta (RJD), Ashok Kumar Mittal (AAP), as well as diplomats Manjeev S Puri and Jawed Ashraf. With Operation Sindoor, India is adopting a collective diplomacy to make its voice heard regarding terrorism and Kashmir loud and clear in the international community.
